BobT-47P15 Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 So....here's what I measured on that optional bumper guard. It came with 6 lock washers that are large enough to fit on P15 bumper bolts. The outer measurement around the thing was 50 3/8" total length, if it was stretched out straight. 1 1/8" outer diameter of the tube. Holes for mounting 5/8" diameter.....fit on a bumper bolt. From end of guard to center of lower mounting hole = 1" End to the upper hole = 2 7/8" Middle of the curve on the top, when lying on the floor, to the floor = 2 1/4" When standing upright on the floor, 13 1/2" to top side of the guard. Overall width, from side to side, on the outside, 27 1/2" I measured with a household cloth tape measure......and would suggest doing your own measurements for distance between bumper bolts. This guard goes inside the bumper guard, and the bolt holds it on. Quote
Frank Elder Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 Thanks Bob, lotsa good info, only 3 bends looks feasible. PS. I wonder why 2 holes on each side when you only use 1 bolt on each side? Higher mount in case in interference with fog lites....? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 27, 2009 Author Report Posted February 27, 2009 You need to check the width between your bumper guards....may be father on a Dodge. Quote
Frank Elder Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 I'm sure its different by just a tad, heaven forbid that anything would interchange between p-15 and d-24. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 I think the p-15 guard is about 3" narrower than the d-24. I have been looking for one in an off-hand way and picked up 3 from a guy that said they were plymouth, but of course, he was wrong. I dumped them all at a swap meet some time ago. I think the width of the p-15 holes is 26". Maybe 26 1/2". Quote
Frank Elder Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 It's dark out and I'm cold, but the bumper guard centers are 33 1/2 inches across. That is notch to notch at the very top of the guards. All I have to do is use Bob's pictures for a reference, I'm sure the tube OD is identical, and starting with the middle bow and bending until the tubing is over the notches then down. I'll be sure to take pictures of all the rejects! Quote
