Oldguy48
Can anyone reveal the secret to removing the sunvisor from it's metal rod on a P15? Mine are pretty rough, and I'd like to recover them with new fabric, but the metal rod will only pull out about half way. There must be a way to separate them, so I'm asking the experts. Tony Cipponeri
Oldguy, I am not sure, but if you remove the stiching, and unwrap the visor that should give you a patern. I have never done one but that's my two cents Tony C

Norm's Coupe
Here's a direct link to that page on the sunvisors. http://www.indfloorcoating-repair.com/sunvisorrebuild.html It really doesn't say how I got the rod out of the old sunvisor. But........You just have to pull hard and twist hard as you are pulling it off. It will come off. To be honest, I think I put the bracket in the vise and pulled on the sunvisor with both hands to get them apart.
Oldguy48
Thank you...With all that information, the job shouldn't be too tough. A bit involved, but certainly doable. It was great to see the project step by step like that.
