Oldguy48
Anyone know how to go about removing the pointer from a P15 speedometer? The white paint on the tip of mine is partly gone, and I have another from a spare instrument cluster that I might swap it with if I knew how to replace it. I've modified the original with some LED indicators, so I don't want to change it out completely. Thanks for any tips.
Jerry Roberts
Some of the guys with the 1939 - 1947 dodge trucks use two forks ( as in dinning forks ) and place these under the pointer and pull . Or how about just repainting the pointer with white paint ? Less chance of something breaking in the second method .
Powerhouse
repaint it first...then try to pull if ya don't like it. I tried the pull first method...broke the shaft...and know I don't have a speedometer... anyone got a spare 39 speedo out there? My guess is NO... Oldguy48
I decided to repaint...it looks good, so I won't try to pull the pointer. Thanks:)
