grey beard Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 Guess you all can tell by the subjedct of this thread that my own Pilothouse project is nearing completion, else I wouldn't be concerned with such trivial minutia. Besides, it's too cold to do meaningful work in my shop just now. A friend gave to me a very nice set of period-correct Unity 5-inch fog lights, which I have cleaned up to install. Problem is, the sealed beams are 12-volt and both I and my truck are still 6-volt. I've searched the local parts houses in vain for this old stock item. The only ones I have found are on the net and they are downriht SPENDY! Like $35 a piece. At that rate I may be forced to give this set away. Having said all that, does anyone have a pair of 4 1/2-inch amber six volt sealed beams for sale? Anyone know where I can buy a pair reasonably? Failing all that, does anyone need/want a set of nice Unity 12-volt fog lights? Quote

Dave, I might have a set of 6 volt lights to trade for your 12 volt lights. Brad Quote
buds truck Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 I have a pair of 6 volt ambers that I don't need. I have not tested them though. Bud Quote
grey beard Posted December 7, 2008 Author Report Posted December 7, 2008 My NAPA man tells me the number I need for amber 6-volt is 4015 in his book. I'll gladly give these 12-volt bulbs to anyone who can use them, or swap for 6-volt - even better for me. Let me know your druthers. Thanks Quote
Bodacious Posted December 9, 2008 Report Posted December 9, 2008 I checked today. I do not have that number in stock. Quote
