Has anyone ever had any luck in repairing the steering wheel and making it look new. I have the horn button and ring new. I just need a steering wheel that looks new. Thanks for the help. I still haven't found a turning signal harness for a 50 plymouth suburban.

thanks again

Ok you can't see it very well but I think its a cool pic so I put it in here anyways. Eastwood has a steering wheel resto kit and I think POR15 does too. Plus guys on here have fixed them with bondo or glazing putty and then repainted.

Tom Fonte restored my steering wheel for me. There was nothing there but the center wire core.

Just one slight crack from shipping...easily repaired.

I did the steering wheel on a Sunbeam with bondo; it was in fair shape with a few small chinks and cracks, nothing to lose. It came out quite nicely. After sanding, priming and painting you couldn't tell the difference. But it was black, so I'm sure that helped.
