Since I finished the steering wheel I decided to repaint my hubcaps. When I first bought the car I painted them by hand and was not happy with how they looked, today I sprayed them and they looked much better:D .

Look good.....probably a more satisfactory way to paint them.

Just FYI, i think the original wheel covers like this had a more tame

red that was close to maroon, and the paint went on up right around

the ship. You can get an idea from this magazine ad on ebay......

When I first got the car they had a red stripe on it and it looked original. I just painted it how it was. It was a darker red but I like the color I used better. They are not as Bright in person.

Personally I find the maroon color just too dang drab and it also puzzles me why Mopar used a brighter red to highlight lines and letters on the trim but chose the marron for the wheel cover..yet all the while the other caps were also a red...I think the red goes further to define the wheel and accent the red trim on the car rather than add yet another odd color to a car..

also contrasting colors to the body color in absence of red even personalizes your car a tad more..to be different is not wrong..

Aero......I'm getting a square that says the image has been moved or

deleted. If you moved or removed the pics after posting, they go away.
