Mick Blake Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Has anyone used the kit from Steel Rubber products? I got a kit from Roberts and not satisfied, it would have to be put on the door, not the cab. The Steel Product looks like part would be on the cab and front of door, but the cab part dose not appear to go far enough to the front of the cab. The Steel Product looks to be a better fit. Quote
Bob_Koch Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 In the original half of the weatherstrip is on the door, and half is on the truck. I don't know who ever came up with this idea but that's the way it should go. I'll try to find my pics for you and post them. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 I have teh Steele weatherstripping. It fit perfectly. My original was too far gone to tell what it was supposed to look like, but it was in two pieces just like what Steele provides. The Steele stuff fit into the same positions without trimming. Jim Shepard Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I've also posted some photos of my weatherstripping before the restoration. They're in the gallery section of the club site. Quote
Mick Blake Posted November 20, 2008 Author Report Posted November 20, 2008 Thanks for the info, will go with steel. Jim the pictures of your truck are great, should help anyone working on these trucks. Dennis your pictures helped with the weatherstrip. Quote
