I ran into an oldtimer in the area who is helping his brother with a 49Dodge. He said they pulled a front suspension off of a 78 (?) camaro by grinding the welds and dropping the A arms etc. off and that the thing was able to bolt up inside the 49's frame rails making an easy swap.

Pat not true if the mentioned 49 is a truck. They you would be replacing a straight axle front end with independent front suspension.

All types of ramcharger frames will work. They were produced from 74-93. The 2wd models are the best for this though. They already have the lower front end. I don't have any pics. The guy I know that did this has since sold the truck. He said the only thing he had to do was make a couple of cab mounts. The wheel spacing lines up perfect. I actually bought a ramcharger for this purpose but have since decided to go back all original since I have most of the original parts. Hope this helps you out some more. I have a ramcharger frame I would be willing to sell if interested. I live in east tennessee though.
