cannot say 100% on the difference between the Dodge years but in the Plymouth line up..the difference between the parts numbers for the 51/52 is location of mounting holes for the fender spears..

On all 1951 Chrysler cars, the fender line at the cowl was raised. If you follow the top of the front fender into the door, you will notice the 1949-50 fender line leads into the door lock. On the 1951-52 models, it leads to just below the door handle. Which is why neither the front clip (fender and hood) nor the front doors of the 1949-50 models interchangeable with the 1951-52 models.

Rear fenders are another story, with the side spears changing things and the taillights - 1949, 1950-51 and 1952.
