Hello everyone. I made a huge mistake and pulled the guts out of my distributor without taking pictures where the wires went to. I thought I would remember but obviously that didnt happen. I have the new points added but can't finish. I'm hoping someone could pull their cap off and take some up close photos of the guts and wires. The pics I have found online don't help me much. Thank you so much for any help you can offer. -Dan

Any old timers willing to help a noob with a little tune up. I recently bought a 1946 business coupe off of my Grandpa and got it out to California. The car runs but will die and then is hard to start plus is running a little rough any way. The car has sat for about 12 years but it fired right up and I have been able to drive it some. It needs to be a little more reliable. I am mechanical but this thing is new to me and would love a little help and to get to know some locals with the same car. I am located in East Pasadena.

I have pulled the distributor stetting the points a .025, had someone run the starter and moved the point adjusting screw without getting the dwell above 20 degrees. the points and distributor are new, the distributor has about .002 run out when checked with a dial indicator. The truck runs fine up to about 45 mph but is not quire right. I am using the truck but would like help solving the problem. Thanks Larry
