  1. High box sides also have reinforcing horizontal ribs popped into sheet metal and the low box sides are flat sheet metal, both having similar rounded tops and stake pockets.

1949 to 1952 B Series rear fenders are rounded and the late B Series models started using flat top rear fenders in 1953, generally called B4's.

  2. A B4B maybe? You still have the split front glass window but a square rear fender. Can't tell from angle but it looks like a 108 wheel base 1/2 ton, low bed. Good looking side view mirror. We notice your radio antennae. What model radio do you have, for if it is a Mopar 610-T, you have the holy grail! Body looks to be in great shape. Show us some more photos, in and out. The truck-o-matic transmission was just coming out in late production 1953, the last year of the Pilothouse B Series. Welcome to the club. The Search link above will be your archived bible of Pilothouse information.

  3. I was on a business trip last week and came upon this B1D (I think) deluxe cab sitting on the side of the road near the Conoco just outside of town. See my Photobucket file http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d148/JimGaspard/1949%201%20ton%20Dodge%20Telluride%20Oct%202011/ for several shots I was able to get before heading to Montrose. The body was in fair shape and everything seemed to be there except a rear bumper.

  4. Sorry for the suspense but I wanted to get the radio into a safe vault before responding. It arrived today. It was just dang luck that I came on it while surfing in 1956's for a rear bumper. I have been searching for a 610-T since I joined in 2006, and was not even aware there was a 611-T. Zeke had a good lookout, and I'm sure it would have been a slugfest if Reg had not been out of town. I did not intend to bid that high, but when I saw it still with one day left, I couldn't sleep until I had raised my high a couple of times. It also cost me some Honey-do's if you know what I mean. The last two hours were sweaty for sure, and bids trippled over the course of the last few hours.

Good news for you guys, if nothing else, we now know there is a later identical model that in all ways fits B3/B4 Pilothouse trucks. This one came out of a 1956 V-8 that is being parted in Montona. I didn't realize they were still making 6V at that time, but I'll soon find out if it is in fact a 6V. There are still others out there in boxes, in barns, on shelves, so keep the faith. Other than the rear of the radio cone, I cannot find a difference between the 610-T and 611-T from my Sams Datafact Sheet. I guess Zeke still holds the standing for the only OEM model for the B3 Series, but I am happy to have this cousin to eventually go into my B3B resto. Now to find a good radio restorer.

  5. Welcome to the Forum. Members are a great source of information and sometimes spare parts. Great looking Deluxe 5 window cab and body you have. You didn't say much about whether its all stock or custom not that it matters, but we would all like to see more on the engine compartment and interior. And what part of the country you live. DPETCA has a map of members around the world.

As mentioned, there aren't after-market suppliers for these parts, mostly from parts trucks and sometimes (most times) a bit worn. Just keep posting reminders of your needs and eventually you will fill your wish list. There is a Parts Needed section also. For most DYI subjects try the Search Function in the masthead. There aren't many areas members have not experienced in the last ten years of the Forum.

    Again, Welcome Aboard.
