  1. Thanks guys. I have yet to convince my wife that this color adds to the charm of these old cars. She says my car looks like a booger...
  2. Do you think that's the original color? It is almost identical to mine and I am curious to know what the factory description of that color is.
  3. I almost went to look at this car as it was only about 2hrs from my house. Wife said I wasn't allowed to have another one so I quit dreaming. Hope you enjoy your new toy!
  4. 665-3122 Balkamp part number from NAPA. Used them on my 48 D24 without problem. I think in paid about 5 bucks for a pack of 5. They looked a bit taller than the ones on my car but the hoods line up better with the new ones.

He gave it to me on his death bed and we affectionately refer to it as "Uncle Bob". This old car will never leave my possession until I give it to my son someday.
  6. Autocityclassic.com has a 17 gallon tank listed for '41-'48 mopars. The price is $194.00 + shipping. Has anyone had experience with these tanks? I have been looking at the tanks inc 15 gal but this one is bigger and slightly less money. The pics look pretty good but the website disclaimer says actual tank may vary from photo. That makes me a little apprehensive to just order one and hope it works. Any input would be appreciated. Marc
  7. I'm also eager to hear how this install goes. My 48 club coupe has an outboard motor boat tank in the trunk currently. I have been eyeing that same tank website but haven't placed my order yet. The original tank in my car is rusted beyond repair from the inside out.
