  13. Anybody know where i can find a new parking brake cable and the brake band itself? Its a real pain not having a parking brake and with this car being a fluiddrive theres no way to stop it from rolling away.My cables frozen and the band material is shot
  14. ok so some of you guys are saying the surface should be smooth as possible and some are saying a little rough to break in the new disc?
  15. my disc is a ten spline, does anybody make a clutch alignment tool for this? all the ones i have found are 24 and up spline
  16. its smooth with no heat cracks, 80 grit seems kinda aggressive and wouldn't leave it very smooth?? Idk thats why im asking lol
  17. Whats everyone's opinion on resurfacing flywheels for new clutches,my old clutch always grabbed smoothly and never got burnt,i bought a new clutch disc and pressure plate and am not sure if what to do about the flywheel.I dont think getting it resurfaced is going to be easy cause its a fluid drive setup and the flywheel is part of the torque converter/fluid coupler.I dont see how they could do it.Can i just buff it up with Emery cloth or sandpaper or something?
  18. someone else had mentioned in chat that the bottom plate on the pickup was removable for cleaning, ill probably just leave it be and douch it with brake clean
  19. While i have my oil pan off to do the rear main seal is there any other things i should do while i have it apart to get alittle longer life outta the old girl? She has 110,000 miles, burns no oil,25psi of oil pressure idle hot and 40-45psi cruising at 50mph hot.I cleaned all the sludge outta the pan so far.I thought about taking the pickup off the oil pump but the screen appears to be clean when looking at it.Is the pickup suppose to pivot up and down?

  21. i was assuming that both the brummer and bolt in style would work since i have the threaded bolt holes.I talked to felpro and they said only the Canadian models used the slip in brummer style which is discontinued by them
  22. so which one is a better bet for a leak free repair? the brummer or the bolt in style?
