  5. Anybody ever run Blue Crown Spark Plugs.. Guy gave me some NOS plugs. Tonight I Decided to pull the Plugs on the 46 to see how the plugs read.. Spent too much time as a Dirt Burner Racer and readin plugs.. So I decided to throw a set of Blue Crown Spark Plugs in.. Will see how she likes em this weekend.. The Autolites I took out looked real good.. Only have about 700 miles on the engine but I was happy to see all 6 lookin nice and the same across the board..

  14. Most of the engines I have tore apart.. Not just Mopars but some brand X. The Pistons that had top rings broke and the ring lands wallered wide.. All had excessive Cylinder wall taper.. Lots of Miles and lack of Maintainence and ate a lot of dust over the years..
  15. I am working on a 39 Plymouth P7 Roadking and the owner would like to buy a service manual for it.. What would you guys recomend.. Thanks Randy L Peterson
  16. Looks like one last nice weekend here in South Dakota Think I will be greedy and take the 46 out for a cruise.. Friend can run with the choke part ways on.. OR he can take his 29 Model A Tudor out for the weekend.. Either way its time for some ME time.. Enjoy the weekend guys.. Thats what I plan to do.. RLP
  17. I have to be missing something simple stupid.. I disconnected the Vac line to the Wipers and plugged the port.. I sprayed carb cleaner around the Base of the carb and around the intake manifold.. It will run just fine at Idle with the choke of just wont go unless you put er down hard.. but Its lean as it spits and back fires under light acceleration.. RLP
  18. Good to hear its not just me RLP
  19. this is a 201 as far as I know Block sez P8 .. Seems to accellerate fine if you put er to the floor.. I will try carb off my 218 and see what happens this weekend.. I know that one works on a 218.. If that one works I will pull carb apart and do some more investigating maybe I missed something on the low side.. I get too used to hookin up a scan tool and having data to analyze LOL.. RLP
  20. Friend put a few miles on his Plymouth today said it runs fine with the Choke on a little bit but spits and sputters tip in throttle and cruise with the Choke all the off..
  21. I rebuilt a Carter B&B on my Friends 39 Plymouth coupe. When I was taking the carb off I noticed that the choke cable was adjusted so the choke was partially on with the Knob all the way in.. I figured it was misadjusted..I pulled the carb apart and I found the Power valve was stuck about half way out so I got that out cleaned up the Vacuum piston with some Scotch Brite Pad and a small ball hone cleaned the bore up.. Soaked the Carb reassembled.. Idles fine but is lean on tip in throttle unless I close the choke about a 1/4 closed.. This is about where it was adjusted before. Then it runs and lightly accellerated just fine.. I tried blocking off the Vacuum line to the wipers and sprayed some Carb cleaner around the manifold.. I dont find any percieved Vacuum Leak.. You guys have any idea for me to check.. Wont get a chance to tinker on it till next weekend.. Thought I might try the Carb off my 46 and see if it acts the same to rule out the carb or go after a different problem.. Accellerator pump has a nice spray.. and tried the different stroke settings.. Thanks Randy L Peterson
  22. I would like to have my 46 Sedan ready for that Randy L Peterson
  23. I plan to run 215/75/15 next summer .. I had a set of 215/70/15 layin here and put them on my car.. The 75 series is much taller tire and about the same diameter as what the car originally came with.. RLP
  24. I put regular in it the first go round but I cant remember last fill up.. I just put gas in and paid so I may have put some ethenol in.. The crap in the filter looks like rust so A tank cleaning is in order.. Car has been sitting a while so probably drew a little moisture.. I am just happy to have some forward progress with this project.. Wife and kids like it too so thats a Bonus...
