my '46 WC makes a terrible sharp whistle when driving down the high way with the cowl vent open. Sometimes if i am traveling with the wind it is ok but against the wind it blows over the vent and whistle awful. Would like to us my vent in the summer when going down the highway. Any ideas? Does anyone else have this trouble but me? I know it's a 46 but thought some of you guys might have the answer.

Where can i get mine rebuilt and what type of distributor are you going to up date to? Will send pics when i get it figured out. New to this stuff. thanks for your reply.

Hi guys, My first post so here goes. I have a '46 Dodge WC pickup with a 218 flathead. I currently am in the process of installing a George Asche dual set-up using Rusty Hope manifolds. All info I picked up on this foroum. It is AWESOME! My problem now is where to find a new Vacuum Advance for my Auto-Lite IAP-4103A-1 distributor. Anyone know any venders who might have one?? Would I be smart to just buy an electronic HEI from Tom Landgon??
