  1. go to motor oil guide.com and you should find the SAE about oil. Yes always change thh filter when changing the oil. drain the oil first, leave the drain plug out then change the filter in the canaster. You should get some additional oil out. Install a new filter then fill with oil. Note if the oil pressure is dropping when it gets warm to hot I would say you have worn internial engine parts/ bearings, oil pump? Going to a non detergent oil may bring up the pressure???. Nothing will provide a good result if parts are worn internially. I straight oil has less vescosity then a multi oil. Going to a heavier oil will bring up the pressure some but then again heavier oil takes more horse power to move it. As for going to a detergent oil in a non detergent oil/ rule is that the detergent oil will remove the oil glazes off the bearings and what not and create excesive clearance in the bearings causing the oil pressure to drop. Plus creating more bad things to circulate in the oil system causing more excesive wear on parts. This is my thoughts to keep it short so hope it helps. Good luck.
  2. Looking for the roller/slide that attaches the window channel to the regulator. It takes 2 per window. I am also lookng for new body mounts for the cab. Looked on eht web but have found nothing on either part. Thanks Bigsmel

  4. Many many thanks for all who replyed. Being new to Dodge am excited on this build. Feel it is going to be a COOL ride when finished. Many interior trim pieces missing so having pictures to go by would help putting it all back together to look OEM best I can. Put add in local paper for parts so will be interesting to see what comes out of the wood work. This is not be my first build but the first Dodge. Again Many Thanks to all who have replyed. Bigsmel
  5. New to this game and forums. I found a 53 4B dodge at a gaurage sell and brought it home for a new project. Finding out what a chore it is going to be. So I need HELP with where the heck to find parts to upgrade the Brakes to Disc with out cutting the frame and adding a different ft clip. I wish to use/retain the straight axle for hte build. So I need help with what parts that will fit and how/where to. Relocating the brake master cylinder to the fire wall. Plan to use a GM power train. I also need help in finding all the glass for it along with all the weatherstripping, seals, body mounts and so forth for the cab. SO far my research on the web has had limited results. I am in need of a rt window channel for a one piece window . Glass to regulator/channel. Mine is missing. I was lead to this forum for all my needs on this truck. Many thanks Bigsmel
