I got this out of the trunk of a 1953 Desoto Hemi Car. But i just don't think it's for that car. Can you guys help me to classify it. It's an oil bath breather and on the top is MAN filter and a bunch of no.s and what looks like a vw. could this off a volkswagon and someone just stuck in the trunk. I just ask because there are so many smart people on this web site. thanks

well i went ahead and got the 48 chrysler and the guy had two desotos a 53 and 57, i got them too. the same deal, been there for the last 25-30 yrs in the brush. i hope to restore the chrysler but will probably just part out the two desotos.

thanks for the help, i will check out the price guide. what i was wandering is if the parts off the 48 dodge or plymouth are interchangable with the 48 chrysler

I recently found a 1948 Chrysler 4dr. It's been sitting out in the bushes for the last 30+ years. It's intact for the most part, some of the windows are knocked out and the weather has gotten in but it's all there. Now what i need is some good advice on how much it is worth as these don't seem to be in as big a demand as the 48 Dodge or Plymouth.

hi, i have a 1947 plymouth with good drums and maybe good brake pads but i can not get the drums to come off and i don't want to break anything trying to remove them, what is the secret to getting these brake drums off. thanks

i believe that have a decent used drive shaft. but i live on the east coast and shipping would be alot probably. if you would post in the wanted section you may find someone near that has one.

I have a friend that has a real nice 47 Dodge 4dr. and this past summer a bad wind storm came thru and a large tree limb crushed the frontdriver's side of the roof in. i found a 47 Plymouth 4dr. parts car. will the roof off the plymouth fit the dodge. thanks for the help

sirs; what is that piece of chrome trim called that runs under the grille out under and past the parking lights. is that a part of the grille trim package or something else? thanks for the help
