I may be the farthest South in Corpus Christi, TX. We went to the 47th Annual Texas Jazz Festival last evening and it was about 80 degrees at 9pm. The wife & I weren't smart enough to take the camera, but we had a good time. Y'all have a nice winter. AJ

Sounds like fun. I always forget to take my camera when I do cool stuff like that! I did run into a local guy who has a 38 Ford Hotrod at jury duty the day (he was our foreman). Ironically, we indicted a guy for DWI with a child(driving while intoxicated with a child occupant) that was pulled over in his 32 Ford. AJ -
Well, my wife's reaction was anticlimactic. She first said - "I should never leave you alone. I told my friends that I would probably come home to a new car or motorcycle." After staring at the bike for a few minutes without saying a word, and me inching slowly towards the door she stated, "I like it. It is my favorite motorcycle that you have bought". I have owned at least 7 motorcycles during our marriage of 7 years. I am down from 5 at this point last year to only 3. I plan to keep this one around for quite a few years until I finally bite the bullet and break the bank on a 1994 Harley FLSTN that I have lusted after since I started riding motorcycles. I could sell all my bikes and buy one, but I can't shake the euphoria of riding a sportbike. 2nd picture is my Aprilia Falco during a ride down to the T-head the other day. AJ

I find it curious that you are concerned with the application process and overall appearance of the paint when you didn't even sand down the area you are painting over. I am not trying to criticize, I just find it odd. Keep up the experiment, I am quite interested. AJ -
I added another vehicle to the stable tonight. (Wife is out of town - boy is she gonna be surprised. ) I paid the guy $1 for every mile it had on the odometer. He is a navy pilot and has been out of the country quite a bit. Honda Shadow ACE 1100 with only 3400 miles. AJ

Heck there is still some life left in the 3rd one, just look at that tread depth. AJ

When this thread started I reported it to eBay as possible fraud. You would think that would be an easy thing to do, but they make it a pain. Just try and find the right channels to go through. Sadly, they keep raising the prices to sell on eBay but the service keeps getting worse. AJ

Whoa - amazing job! Love the two-tone paint & enjoyed the slideshow. AJ

As cheap as a Harbor Freight HVLP gun is, it is worth a try. That being said it may be just as much sanding and polishing in the end. Let us know how it works out. An post pictures! I am paying for cable internet access and would like to get my money's worth. Here's a picture of my 54 Coronet - notice two tone. Painted by the previous owner. I am planning on painting the top white this summer & I am awaiting your results to limit my trial and error process. The baby blue top is the original color, the previous owner tried to match the lower part of the car but it is off by several shades. It was supposed to be more blue. Now it is more turquoise. AJ -
Definately a scam. Try and cut and paste the item number. You can't the whole page is a redirect. Anywhere you click on the page it takes you to the bottom. AJ

I like the green. Maybe I should have become a farmer? Have you considered a two tone paint job? I personally like the look of a different colored roof. I don't know what the would be with the green. Maybe black, tan, or another shade of green? Just my thoughts. AJ -
I looked through everyone of those pages, some of them twice & never saw your car. I think I will have to check again. Let us know when you get the pictures. AJ

I like it. I wouldn't build one like it, but at least it has a different look to it. AJ

Cause for a little P15 celebration cruise!

As a high school teacher I recomend a lot of students looking into the local colleges first before Texas or A&M. I was one of those who wasted a nice chunk of money my first year with classes of 500+ at the University of Colorado. I then went to the local state college & found it easier to concentrate in classes of 30-40. Pocketbook took it a bit easier too. I eventually earned a degree from Mesa State College in Grand Jct, CO and another from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, CO. (Found my wife there too). It drives me crazy that society promotes "Big" schools as better ones. I work with people who graduated from Ivy League schools, private colleges, and state colleges and everything inbetween. Guess what? We still make the same money. My sister graduated from Mesa State & now is in charge of corporate accounts at Coors Brewing in Golden, CO. My brother graduated from Colorado State and is now working in the oil industry. His Christmas bonus was more than my salary last year. Just goes to show that employers want good people with an education. Not just a piece of paper. AJ -

Congrats to your family. Now that she has graduated, you should have a little more spending money. When I got out of high school my parents bought new furniture and a big TV. When I graduated college, they built themselves a house. When my wife earned her masters, they built a bigger house just a few minutes from the beach. It seems like the more education we earn, the higher their standard of living. They keep telling me they are spending my inheiritance & I am starting to believe them. More power to them! They made a ton of sacrifices for their 3 kids to go to college. Now all three of us are making more than my father did after 30+ years as a policeman. AJ
