  1. It's easy for others to tell you to "bite the bullet". I guess it would depend on if you needed the money from it to help out financially. If you could afford not to sell it, try and find a place to store it until you can bring her home again. That way it would be out of sight from others. Just a thought. I have 3 projects of my own. I've said for years that one needed to go. I just can't part with any of them. Hope this helps.
  2. Sweet looking truck! 48WN

  8. Like I said....something simple. Didn't have a good enough ground on the light to the frame. Geez. 48WN
  9. I was wondering if I needed to have the other lights hooked up and working. I guess i'll know more in the next few days when I get them all hooked up. I just thought that since the light worked and I had power to the connections I should have got something to work. Especially since it is just a brake and tail light. No flashers involved. Thanx! 48WN
  10. Ok...i'm kinda stumped here. I'm working on installing new front turn signals and tails lights on my B1D. I'm waiting on the turn signals and tail lights to come in so I was working on the original tail light that is mounted on the license plate bracket. I know the light works by powering it up to the battery charger and I tested for power up to where they connect together and I have power. But when I plug them together I still have no light. What gives? I know it's going to be something simple. Thanx for any help! P.S. (they are new connectors so I know I got a good tight fit). 48WN

  13. Congrats on the truck Dutch. They do handle pretty well. I've only driven mine around the block a few times but I like the way it handles. Hope to have it road worthy here in a few weeks. 48WN
  14. Thanx Reg! So were all the engines prior to the 315 poly V8's, flathead 6's? 48WN
  15. Try a different coil wire and see what happens. Just a thought. 48WN
  16. Never heard of a chrysler 315 engine. There were the two 318 engines. One was a big block and the other was the newer small block.
  17. Hmmmmmm........I guess it looks great right where it's at then!
  18. Wow...what's it worth with a mirror hanging on it? Lol. 48WN
  19. Yeah I ended up drilling out the studs (8 of them) this afternoon and ran a bolt up from under the grill bar. Used some vaccum hose to hold the bolts in place and then reached under and held the bolt and pulled the hose off from the inside and put on the washers and nut. Your way seemed better. But it's done. Thanx for your input! 48WN
  20. I removed the stainless grill bars off my 48 today and several of the bolts broke (even soaked them for a while with penenatrating fluid). What are my possibilities for fixing this. All I can see is drilling out the old studs and running a bolt through them. Which looks like a lot of fun. Any other ideas? 48WN
