  14. Allan,Here is one taken in the last couple of weeks,Mike
  15. I picked up my rims last week,$15 to sandblast and $30 to powdercoat each glossy black,so your price sounds about right.I have 5 new bias ply tires but need 5 innertubes @$13.50 ea. plus mounting and balancing,so when people ask me what I have into it, I just reply "cubic dollars".Mike
  16. I had this same problem on my recently rebuilt 230,it turned out that the spacer ring between the two oil rings were overlapped instead of butted end to end.It cocked the pistons just enough to keep it from turning after the rods were torqued, hope this helps.Mike
  17. Thanks Greg,I fired it again yesterday and reset the timing and idle screws. It is running about 160 degrees and a little less than 40 pounds oil pressure at idle.I took your advice and retorked the head (it needed it) and next is adjust the tappets. So far so good.
  18. This is my 48 B1B when I brought it home many years ago.It had been sitting in a farmers field for 6 years with the hood and head off,I could'nt save the motor but did find a 230 out of a 57 plymouth.I have since restored it mechanically from the frame up.still lots of body and interior work to do.
  19. Hey Guys, well I finally fired my rebuilt and modified engine for the first time last night. It took about 5 shots of gas to get the carb bowls full and then she fired. It smoked for about 5 min. while I made some timing and carb adjustments. After a few minutes I had it at a nice steady idle, man did it sound like music to my ears and the best part is no leaks of any kind. This is the best motivator I could hope for.
  20. Try this link www.datatags.com they can probably help.
