  20. hello everyone, i hope youall had a great thanksgiving. i went out to the shop this morning and had to build a fire. while i waited for things to warm up i got out my hubcaps one had a crack in it so i got my grinder and was going to repar it. i sure was surprised to find brass under the paint and crud.i polished one up and it has brass skin on it. ichecked the others and they do too. i didnt know this. has anybody else found brass hubcaps? I also painted my running boards today. ive read previous treads about posting pics but i still cant get them to show up.

  22. what kind of gas do you run in your flathead? i have heard of additives such as lead that one can add to the fuel. i was wondering if anybody does put anything in their fuel?

  24. im at it again; this time its the back spring shakles. i got the passenger side with no problem. the drivers side is a whole new story. when i put a wrench on the bottom one that goes through the spring it broke off. ive tried heat and now leting it soak in wd40. are those springs threaded inside or is it just rusted together? or do i just need a bfh and drive it out the other side? tell me what you think thanks.
  25. i was just wondering how long you guys worked on your trucks. i dont think i will ever get finished. i have worked on mine for 15 months and still have a ways to go. seems like one thing just leads to another. ido have my cab insulated and ordered a firewall pad. i am going to try to get pictures up this afternoon. wifes got a digital camera and im hoping i can figure it out.its funny a guy can dismantle a truck and reassemble it but the high tech world gives me a fit. guess ill have to find a 10 year old to show me ha ha. more later.
