unfortunatly almost every responce to craigslist adds these days are a scam, because they refuse to police there site, everytime i list something i get at least 100 emails trying to findout my info, some of the things that give a scam away is the "buyer" saying intrested in your item, instead of naming what your selling, also saying where are you located, when its clearly written on your add, and the ones asking for your address when they don't even know what your selling, or asking final offering price and condition, when there clearly written, thats why i never put my phone number on the adds anymore, and when i get any responce if i cant tell its a scam wright away, i always tell them to send me there phone number and say i'll contact them, not the other way around, i used to get around 4-5 emails a day in my junk mail box, since i've started using craigslist i get over 200 everyday, most wanting me to increase the size of my pecker, or notifying me i won free prizes, and i won the publishers clearing house, which i've never applied for, or other stupid things, craigslist is one of the worst websites going, when it first came out i thought it was great, and stopped using ebay all together, but now i sell my stuff on ebay again, i would rather pay there high prices then deal with all the scams on craigslist

and if your precious fords are so great then why is every single ford made between the years of 1969 and 2000 currently sitting on the shelf at your local groccery store with dogfood in it ???, the fact is ford is junk just like chevy, and the last time i looked this was a mopar website for people who love mopars, not a mopar site for people who love fords !!!!!!
-
funny because when the term ford v8 is used, only thing i think of is the local junkyard !!!!!!!!

honestly don, i've been doing it for 30 years now, and people tell me all the time that road dirt, and other stuff will get in my motor and ruin it, and i can honestly say i've never blown a motor in my life, i've blown head gaskets, and trans's, and other stuff, but they were mostly age related, maybe i've just been lucky, but its worked for me so far, but then again i've alway owned mopars, which have hands down the toughest motors ever made, anyone of you can argue till your blue in the face but it doesn't change the facts mopar has always had the toughest longest lasting motors ever made, and at the top of the list in this order are the slant 6, the 4.0 jeep motor, and the 318, the 4.0 and the 318 will outlast any honda, toyota, or any other american motor, and you can't kill a slant 6 no matter what you do to it, i've driven a couple of them with no oil for over a week and they just keep going
-
i forgot, i have one modification to my car, i took off the oil bath and run open carb, so i get a little more air than stock
-
same here, i run 65-70 in my 51 on the highway not screaming with a good amount of pedal to go, and i know the speed is correct because my speedo cable is broken, so i use my gps as a speedo, and its dead on
-
tim, you spelled cult wrong, the word you meant to spell was "JUNK"
-
kind of funny to me to, my flathead is bone stock, has a beat carb that leaks all over, and i drive my car at 65-70 mph up hill every day of the week, don't know where you got the info, but its definatly wrong
-
hey anyone out there have and old police beacon light, or siren, i'm building another project car that just got dropped in my lap for next to nothing, its a 67 belvedere 4 door, and i decided it would be cool as a cop car, i'm looking for a 60's/70's type round light, or a siren, if i get the light i'll just put it on roof, but if i get a siren i'll put it on the roof with those double sided lollypop type red lights on each side, they dont have to work or be perfect, its just for cruise ins
-
got my head gasket this afternoon (finaly), put her all back together, torqued 3 times ran her about an hour then torqued again, and checked for leaks and stuff, everything looks good, she's running like a top again, went for a short cruise then put her to bed for the night, woohoo !!!!!
-
looking again i guess it qualifies as a spiral if you go area to area and not bolt to bolt
-
thanks, thats awsome, still though its def not a spiral like i've heard alot of people on this board mention, now if they just get my head gasket in tomorrow i'll be set, the hardest part is waiting, it took me 13 minutes to mark all wires and bolts and remove everything, (gotta love air tools, oh and a good set of ratcheting wrenches is a must), no air puting it back together, dont want to chance over tightening those 61 year old bolts, got threads chased, holes cleaned head checked and cleaned, just waiting on the gasket
