  1. We used one in a street rod that had a short block chevy v8 and it really does a nice job.
  2. I did mention it was for use in 48 plymouth. I should have provided better info.
  3. Sorry Tim I did not mean to imply that I had a kit. My main problem is that I do not have the linkage.
  4. Has anyone installed one of these and can you recommend a kit based on your experience? Specifically for use on a 48 Plymouth.
  5. Will the 48 PLymouth differential work in the 49 Dodge?
  6. What differential can I use in my 49 Dodge Wayfarfer if I cannot find a good replacement? I have heard that the Volare is a good candidate. Anybody know?
  7. Seems a bit pricey. I got driver's side rocker molding for $100. a couple of weeks ago.

    My new project: 48 Plymouth

This was a daily driver until put out to pasture a few years ago.
  9. I bought a really nice 1948 radiator for our project car. Mice had made an earlier down payment and had lived there for many years. Radiator repair shop wanted nothing to do with it. After the judicious use of a coat hanger I managed to get about a gallon pail's worth out. Any suggestions as to what kind of liquid I should let soak in it until spring?
  10. Best offer over $150.00 for all. We are installing a V8 with automatic. Located in southwestern Michigan for pick up only. Removed from what was an everyday driver until three years ago and then it sat in an open field. Engine untested, but I am fairly certain transmission and other parts in drive train are good.
  11. rodinteriors has good prices and great merchandise.
  12. Can fluid drive cause harmonic vibration?
  13. 1949 Dodge begins an intermittant but regular vibration at 35mph. I can feel the vibration if I rev up engine with car in neutral. Flywheel? Engine was rebuilt completely and did not have vibration before rebuild. Car actually has a Chrysler 251 engine that appears to have been a factory installation. No vibration damper. Does it need one?
  14. 1. Remember! Too good to be true? It usually is. 2. Never click on a supposed link to ebay given by someone through an email. If it is a scam, you will be taken to a site that is a perfect ebay clone. It may even have a nice feature the real ebay does not. Live chat to help you! 3. Check the seller's ebay name against the seller list. 4. Be wary of second chance offers. Especially pricey items. 5. Forward any fishy emails to spoof@ebay.com and you will have an answer in a few minutes.
  15. Put a want on ebay. They show up from time to time
  16. The 1939 Plymouth Convertible was indeed too good to be true. They almost got me. A very elaborate scheme with impossible to detect realistic listings and invoices. Anytime you suspect anything on ebay send a copy of any message to spoof@ebay.com and you will have an answer in minutes. Also do a search of the supposed seller to see if they are a registered ebay seller.
  17. Cannot find any parts for this. What would be a good differential swap?

49 Dodge Wayfarer. This has the Chrysler block which is two inches longer than Dodge. Appears to be a factory installation. Engine before re-build.
