It is a one piece hood that opens from the front of the car, it also has a hood release cable to enable you to open the hood from inside of the car. So the answer is no Phil, these hoods do not interchange, the Chrysler hood is also longer than the D24 Dodges and much longer than the P15 Plymouth hoods..........Fred Quote

55 Fargo Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 I don't see why not, it will not fit on the Dodge D25, which is really a P15 with Dodge badges, but that is a Canadian thing. The D24 should be much like the C38 Chryslers, the hood, front fenders, rear fenders were all the same regardless if the car was a Seedan, Club Coupe, Businessmans Coupe, Convertable, all the same, the doors, trunk lids, and rear windows were all specific to each type.............Fred Quote
B-Watson Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 Dodge 1942-1948 left 1148101 right 1148100 All hoods 46-48 Dodge are the same. From the cowl forward they are the same. Fenders, grills, bumpers, inner fenders, .................... Club Coupe, 4dr sedan, 2dr sedan, same, as well as I believe the Town Sedan. .... plus convertible and long-wheelbase sedan - - in other words, all models. Must remember when talking about 1941 to 1952 Mopars cars that the Plymouth used a completely different body from Dodge, DeSoto and Chrysler, which shared bodies. The Plymouth body is both shorter and narrower than the Dodge-DeSoto-Chrysler body. Dodge had a 2" shorter wheelbase than the DeSoto and Chrysler 6 - all inthe hood. The Chrysler straight 8's longer wheelbase was again all in the hood. As was the 1951-52 New Yorker and Imperial V8 models. Bill Vancouver, BC Quote
