What does this go on?

This just sold on ebay, didn't want to post until the auction was over. Advertised as a 54-55 Plym. I'm sure it's not a 54 with those wings and I don't recall a 55 having a center hood strip, as this ornament looks notched at the back for a stainless trim piece. What the?
