eric wissing Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 I love the idea of having small cars for short trips and such... but having taken a 700 mile trip in a car with about half the mass of a vw beetle and I wouldn't wish it on anyone who wasn't excited about the challenge. But for short hops there is nothing cooler than microcars.this is one of the best things I've ever seen about small cars: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iN0LQJLabqA&feature=related Great link, thanks. My Grandfather had an Isetta in the late 50s. It is the first car I remember riding in. I think you had page? on your Crosley trip. That is more of a challange than I am up to. Eric PS no one seemed to say anything about Don C.'s Messerschmidt!! How did he ever fit into it!! Quote

PatS.... Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 I recall an article a few years ago where they said the technology exists to safely run a nuclear powered car for a hundred years on a spoonful of uranium or plutonium or dilithium crystals or something. (can't recall specifically) Wouldn't that get the oil companies panties in a knot!!! Quote
