Jims50chrysler Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 good day everyone: I was puttering around under the hood of the Chrysler the other day when I decided to check the condition of my water pump...I presume you wiggle the fan to see what kind of play there is in the pump. anyway there was plenty of lateral play in the pump suggesting the pump has seen better days. My question is what is the best way to handle this, Can they be repacked? is there a kit available to rebuild them? Has anyone purchased a new one at a parts store? As always I thank you for your input. Jim Quote
james curl Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Google Auto Zone, NAPA, Advance and O Riellys. They all have a web site. You can find waterpump listings with price if I am correct. If you do not order on line then be prepared to argue with the counter person who has never seen their site, only his little computer screen and will tell you they do not stock such a thing. Be sure to take stock number from on line site with you. Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 For the water pump on my 48 P-15 I went to my local Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper store and they ordered one for me, it was in the store the next day. Dennis:cool: Quote
