there's a cool website devoted to homebuilt "housetrucks" but i haven't got the link. i like the ingenuity of the owners and their creations, personally.

Also a book from about 1978 or so by Jane Lidz called "Rolling Homes" is very good...I have one that is quite well thumbed through. :D

why of course. some of these guys are VERY creative when it comes to engineering their "housetruck". i know where there's a '59 Ford/? Pumper truck that would do nicely.....

there's at least one full-blown shopbuilt rig in the UK that started life as an Air Force truck; converted in the '50's to haul race car and crew and later as living quarters! still running the 230 Dodge engine i imagine.
