makkelsay Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 heres a link to someones 53 dodge thats been set on airbags and a v8 dropped in well ive fallen into the whole minitrucker world so this was appealing to me but of all days i found this it was the day my truck was sold and picked up:mad: http://www.s-i-c.org/John.htm Quote
Chuck U&R Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 I really like that truck ! Any build info ? Specifically - what's he using for the frame ? Quote
Merle Coggins Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 I like it except for the flat black paint and plain wheels. Put a nice shiny coat on it with a set of flashy mags and you got something. Quote
makkelsay Posted January 23, 2008 Author Report Posted January 23, 2008 as far as build info im not sure...im going to email them about it Quote
Vintrader Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 You know I gotten where I kinda like that look. This ones a little to far in the weeds for my taste but that's just me. I am building a couple of them now, no Pilot Houses yet but maybe soon. Here is a a few pics of a 66 Carry All we are doing. Dutch Quote
IanT_Qld Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 I like it except for the flat black paint and plain wheels. I like the full size wheels, to many have been Rodded and have 14inch low profile tyres. That lowered look and full size tyres realy gets me going;) Quote
Chuck U&R Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 Vintrader - I like your carryall ! I had a '62, 283, 4sp granny. My back doors opened up and down. That was 'back in the day'. Quote
Guest OldschoolJay Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 i like the top one, i am in the process right now of putting my 50 pilothouse ona 93 s10 blazer chassis, ia m using the 4.3L vortec for now as well. Quote
msjenkins Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Here's mine. I kept the stock frame and added the Chysler K-member for the front. To lower it, I put the axle on top of the springs in the back and since the K-member uses torsion bars, I simply adjusted them to match the back. Only thing is, there isn't much travel on the rear without frame modifications. That's one of the next projects I'm going to tackle. I had thought about going the airbag route but decided I didn't want the slammed look. Quote
