need help with carb on 50 dodge 1 ton

have 1950 dodge 1 ton truck and was looking for little horshue shaped clip that holds the float in place om a stromberg carb number 3-100bany help appreatchiated thanks in advance for any help

I went to a local bone yard and went through there pickup bed full of old dead carbs until I found a couple of 1bbl carbs. Opened them up and found it. However it would take much ot fabricate one either. I actually have to trim about 1/8" off the one I fould becuase it sat too tall.

I used a finishing nail which I bent to shape... but as my truck is having issues with the fuel system (I think) take that for what it is worth.
