1939 Plymouth or Dodge steering tube with worm gear. Mopar part number 691320.

Hey Lloyd,

I was able to get the outer tube off.

I did not see any Part # on the inner shaft.

I measured the shaft. From the top (where the threads are for the steering wheel nut) to where the shaft enters the steering box is 45".

I have not yet removed the shaft. I am waiting to hear back from you.

Joe

Same dims on mine looks to be about 48". I see a number on the gearbox. I'll look that up in bit. Got some honey-do's to take care of right now.

Thanks.

Any luck on that part # ??

Hey Joe,

No I haven't found the part number I see on your gearbox. But my parts catalog only goes 1929-1939.

In any case my Hollander shows the only shaft that will fit is a 1939 Plymouth or Dodge. So I don't believe a 1940 will fit.
