Hi guys ,

 

I want to put a grant or other brand of steering wheel on my 1948 Plymouth original column .

Does anyone knows the size of it or which adapter kit i need ?

I already maild to grant but replied that they dont have that adapter for a 1948 aldo they where established in 1922 ðŸ¤”

So can someone help me or as somebody a solution ?

Your problem will probably be that back in the 1960's you may have found an adaptor fairly common but nowadays maybe not so..........and being in Belgium will probably not help........(I'm in Australia so can relate to the problem myself)....have you pulled the original wheel off and taken some measurements?.....any chance you maybe able to compare the size, ie, diiameter, spine count, etc against  a Ford column for which you may be able to find an adaptor.....good luck in the hunt..and Welcome aboard from Oztralia.......andyd

Hey andy first thanks for your replay , yes i made some measurements its a 3/4 36 spine .

I think if i don't find the correct adapter i'm gonna take out the center ring of the broken steering wheel and make a adapter myself
