Is there anyone on here that has bought a P15 floor mat from Sal Salerno that can give me some info about the mat? I need to know if it looks original (or pretty darn close to), how much they cost, quality, durability and how long it took to ship? Also, if you have a pic of how it looks that would be great. My NOS one I got on Ebay last year is falling apart on me before my eyes and trying to repair them is virtually impossible. :(

I bought it nearly five years ago and paid $175 at that time. It is an exact reproduction except that the backing is a more modern felt type rather than jute. That's a good thing. Mine has held up extremely well. It fit and looks great. I think it was well worth the price. I have some photos in my Photobucket restoration gallery. The URL to the gallery is:

The mat I removed from my P15 was a poor quality mat installed in the early 70's. Sal's mat is perfect.

Thanks, Dave. It really does look nice. Let's just hope he hasn't gone up too high in price since then. I'm not woried about what's underneath, I just want it to look original.

Sals phone number is in the links section of the P15-D24 website. He is also listed in the POC Bulletin and Hemmings. I don't believe he has a website or an email address.

Thanks for the compliments Skip!

Gee, David...I thought I gave you the comments...LOL!

Anyway, I called and talked to Sal today. Real nice guy to talk to. The front mat costs $179 and about $18 to ship by USPS. I'm going to send the money order out tomorrow. Thans for the help guys!
