Heavy clutch pedal

I got a new disc and pressure plate for my P15 from Andy Birnbaum.  They sent a 9-1/4" Borg & Beck.  The original was an Auburn. Now I have much heavier pedal pressure and fear wearing out the linkage.  Should I replace with an Auburn?  My mechanic said the B&B springs are thicker than in the Auburn.

I wouldn't worry about the linkage......now, my leg is another matter......
