Marty C
Help! my right wheel bearing froze and welded itself to the spindle and the entire spindle snapped! Thank God the wheel did not come off until I pulled over and jacked up the car and when that happened the wheel just fell off!! Question : does anybody know if the spindle i.e. steering knuckle is the same on both sides? There is one on eBay and it says left-hand however I need the passenger side, which is the right hand!! Loren
They are different right to left. What size brakes do you have? Each size has a different spindle, that is 10 inch, 11 inch or 12 inch. I have a set of Plymouth 10 inch spindles I would donate for the shipping cost. For my cars I am changing over to Chrysler Windsor 12 inch brakes, so I have the “take offs” gathering dust.

Marty C
Since there is no classified I’m taking a chance and asking if anyone has a 11” drum steering knuckle /spindle assembly French Lake sent me a 10” where my Dodge has 11” if anyone has some lying around let me know it’s the right side passenger front French Lake never got back to me today i also called Windy City and they are going to call me tomorrow to see if they have the correct side but I do not mind having spares if the junkyards come through I miss driving my baby
Marty C
Picture above the bottom spindle is what I need too is the wrong one I got from French they swear it’s from a 52 Dodge I had no idea there were so many different size drums etc between Dodge Plymouth and Chrysler!! Loren
Here’s a photo of the 12 inch beside a 10 inch for comparison. One of the highly desirable features of the KT Keller era cars is the continuity of design. You can mix and match parts in creative ways. Unfortunately sometimes its a pain like two different brake sizes in the same year and all you can find is the wrong one.
Marty C
Well the one on the left is exactly like the one I need the one on the right is what I got from French Lake keeping my fingers crossed WIndy Hill has the correct one🙏🙏🙏
Solution Marty C Posted October 6 Author Solution Report Share Posted October 6 Windy Hill and French lake both had the correct spindle but Windy hill answered faster than French so they got my business tho exactly double the price if anyone needs a 10” drum and spindle I now have a complete set for sale however the shipping will cost 80-90 dollars
