'49 - '52 Chrysler / Dodge dimension request

I am working on a late '49 Chrysler Windsor coupe with the 125.5" wheelbase.
The original fuel tank was toast and I pitched it before I thought I may need it for future reference. I would like to utilize a stock mounted tank vs. a fuel cell if I do not have to do so.
Not a stock rebuild, the upper shock mount member I need to fab may or may not interfere with the same real estate as the factory fuel tank.

If someone could confirm this distance it would be greatly appreciated........... I can measure from the rear body mount of the body to where the tank straps mount to the body and seems like I may be good.......but would like to confirm............really do not want to mod a new tank or have to use a fuel cell.

Any help would be appreciated.

Or if anyone can just give me dimensions of a stock tank in that plane, I believe it to be 2-ft (24") ..... if anyone can confirm.

Time permitting, I may be able to get you some dimensions over the weekend.

 

50 Desoto Convertible, X frame under the passenger compartment but I believe from the crossmember back is the same. The tank is out but I can quickly fit it to measure.

if you could report back just the square dimensions of the tank, or just confirm my number of 24” of the tank in that direction would help.

I get 21-13/16" in the requested direction, pinch weld edge to edge. Again this is from a convertible so it may be worth verifying it's the same tank as yours. Pics of measurement attached as well as an under car shot.

 That is the confirmation I was looking for, under the car looks the same and I feel for sure the tanks are the same on these models.
It just makes me feel better when I start burning in the mounts, I will not have an "Uh - Oh" moment when I drop the body back on.
