Shift linkage adjustment M6

Since I’m still getting some grinding into reverse I’m wondering if my shift linkage is out of adjustment. Unfortunately my service manual only shows adjustment for the manual transmission. Since I changed the front motor mount when I changed engines but not the rears I thought there may be some mis-alignment. I did jack up the bell housing and it still grinds a bit. The car is a 52 Coronet with Gyromatic.
