BobT-47P15 Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 ....on the bay. The seller decided to cut to the chase, i guess, and save all that penny ante bidding time. Just started it at $299. But, no one evidently wanted it that badly. Of course, there is still one on there with a 'buy it now' of $335 just in case.... If you want a perfect, rechromed coupe stoplight - there is one for $200 buy it now. Quote
47heaven Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 ...maybe if it had been NOS, but this is used. Some of those guys on Ebay think they are selling gold by they way they price things. That's okay...they will soon find out that no one is going to pay their price. Quote
Normspeed Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I don't know about that, like real estate, they aren't making any more of it. Darin did you get my email today? Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I don't know about that, like real estate, they aren't making any more of it. Darin did you get my email today? Norm, that's a bad comparison today. Real estate is going down in a lot of areas today, or just standing still at the same price. As for the clocks, I agree with Darin. They may be getting those kinds of prices, but they won't get it from me. My $30 or $40 watch keeps better time and is a lot cheaper. All this clock talk reminds me. Guess I should change the time on the clock in my van. Didn't do that last weekend. In fact, it's way off since about 2 weeks or so ago when they changed the alternator. Never did reset the clock afterward. Quote

JerseyHarold Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 About 30 -35 years ago the price of '55 Chevy NOS hood ornaments was on the moon. Some sellers thought one piece of trim would fund their retirement! All that changed very abruptly when one person took their NOS ornament to Taiwan and started making repro's from it. Quote
