Putting the front brakes on my 47. Took the backing plates off, sandblasted and painted. New shoes, new wheel cylinders and new lines.

While I was putting the shoes in place I noticed that the cam on the minor adjust bolt wasn't turning with the bolt on the back. Can it be disassembled and reattached or do I need to spot weld?

Well I had the same problem with one side on the rear on my 52 Plymouth.  I looked at it and thought, what the hell.  I took my torch(all I have) and carefully and gently welded the cam to the bolt. I let it cool and it worked fine.  That was probably 10 years ago.

yep...that worked. Sometime a big hammer and mig welder are your most important tools.?
