woodscavenger Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 On the rear portion of the driver side of the block is ~1/2" plug with a wire wrapped in a coiled wire setup that goes into the cab. Is this a temp sending unit? The line has been cut and I have no dash guages to figure out what was where. Is this is the temp unit can it be replace with a generic temp sending unit/ guage setup? Merle Coggins Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 You are correct, sir. That would be the capillary tube for the temp gauge, and you should be able to pick up a generic temp gauge and install it for now. Merle Quote
Jim Yergin Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 If you go to the home page of this web site (P15-D24.Com) and then to the Technical Tips section, there are instructions on "Temperature Gauge Sender Unit Replacement." The instructions allow you to repair your exisitng unit. Hope it helps. Jim Yergin Quote
