1949 Dodge pu engine swap

First time poster, long time fan of the forum.  I have researched the forum and other sources but still confused.  I have a '49 Dodge 1/2 ton pu with worn out flat six with 3 speed manual.  I have located a 1955 Plymouth with flat six (23" engine) and push button auto trans.  Will this engine swap to the pu's manual 3 speed clutch  and bell housing?  Thanks for your time to read and  greetings from Ooltewah Tn.         P.S. foot starter, crank drilled for clutch and flywheel and pilot bushing?

The flatheads should be interchangeable but you'll need to take a close look at the flywheel bolt pattern and teeth count.
