One more for the night.....extra holes in floorboard??

This is the strip that the base of the gas pedal sits on. That explains the 2 knobby protrusions. However I can't figure out what the other holes are for. Can anyone shed light on the matter.

Sorry for all of the questions.....however these are only the first of a whole lot more as things progress.

Looks like the rectangular holes are for the speednuts to mount the tranny cover-either that or you have rust mites using straighedges to eat. Mike

Maybe your floor board came from a heavier duty truck and those holes served some purpose there. I think the only one you're gonna use on your 1/2 ton is the one on the right with the clip in it to bolt the 2nd floor board to.

have five 1 1/2 plus ton trucks on my property and most have had the gas pedal hinge point fale and holes drilled for a door hinge, piano hinge, you name it. wonder if some are not factory and were added out of nessesity and lack of $s

My gas pedal is having issues with the ball at the toe end of the pedal. The ball pivot is appearently enlarged enough that a good press on the pedal, and it comes apart. Any suggestions for a quick and lasting fix for that..?

Had the same problem with my 52. I just put it in place and put a small hose clamp around the rubber to squeeze it in. Hasn't come out yet.
