Here is an excellent lead for anyone looking to have your old bonded rubber running boards brought back to year zero. I could not believe the job that Kris Arneson in BC did! I will post pictures as soon as my my new PC arrives and can access my restoration photo archive. I am using a little crapple ipad to communicate right now and am severely limited (good thing they don't build cars). His co ordinates are as follows:

Truly the quality of the work is very high end, Kris is a great guy and they can restore the most complex running boards you can imagine!

Sorry about not being able to access  my photos but check out their website and it will give you an idea of their capabilities. I am doing a complete teardown/re assembly of my car, so I have made a lot of good connections which I'm not hesitant to recommend. Please give me a shout out if you need any info or call Kris directly and he will for sure take the time to answer any questions. It is worth taking into account that this is not a cheap process since the rubber has to be bonded to your running boards. Be sure the metal on the running board is not rusted out because it will cost you sheetmetal restoration on top of the rubber. All the Best! M
