LeBaron Posted September 9, 2020 Report Posted September 9, 2020 I've finished most of the major assembly on the 218 that belongs to my 1937 Dodge coupe. Problem is the engine is in my garage on a rebuilding stand while the rest of the car is located in my parents barn several miles away. I'd like to start and run the engine to make sure its good to go before I haul it over and put it in the car. I don't have an engine hoist, so I will have to rent one of those, so I'd like to have the stand built and ready to do before I rent the hoist. I'm thinking the stand would be built so that it would support the engine by the front engine mount and the rear mounts that are on the clutch bell housing. Could someone supply me with the rough dimensions I'll need to make the stand so that I get the distances right? Or perhaps there is an easier/better way to set it up? I'm open to suggestions. Thanks! LeBaron Quote
