Jj1981 Posted May 10, 2020 Report Posted May 10, 2020 I am converting over to rear disc brakes using a Ford Explorer rotor on the original hub. Need to know what studs y’all have used thanks Quote
59bisquik Posted May 10, 2020 Report Posted May 10, 2020 I got the 718-8235 studs from Jegs. 1/2''-20 x 1-1/2" .615'' Knurl. Then grab a 39/64" drill bit. If your gonna put the disc on the stock hub, I have heard you should have it milled to make sure its flat or the disc can wobble and spread the pads. Somebody did that mod on here before and suggested it. 1 Quote
Jj1981 Posted May 11, 2020 Author Report Posted May 11, 2020 I found the ones in the second pic are 1.915 inches long. The pads seem to hold true so far Quote
59bisquik Posted May 11, 2020 Report Posted May 11, 2020 Those should work. They have plenty enough threads to run aluminum wheels too. Quote
Jj1981 Posted May 12, 2020 Author Report Posted May 12, 2020 I’m still working it out but the rotors fit perfect. I’m experimenting with a few different calipers but so far so good . I did the Jeep master cylinder swap too Quote
Edward Garcia Posted May 13, 2020 Report Posted May 13, 2020 i did the same work. i used the 99 Exporer rotors and calibers. worked perfect if you have option wheels. 15". Quote
