Mel
I am doing a full restoration on a 1938 Dodge business coupe Canadian built D10. It currently has a flat head 6 in it with the following S/N stamped on it “NAP 071”. It’s a 23” block, and I am not sure of the year of the motor etc. Any suggestions? The numbers don’t seem to line up with what my research is telling me should be in the vehicle. thanks
JBNeal
Kinda sounds like a remanufactured engine where they ground off the original number and stamped their own...there should be a date code on the side of the block directly below the distributor, as well as a date on the head near the ignition coil, that might help figure out what engine it might be a little bit
