T236-Dose Posted January 5, 2020 Report Posted January 5, 2020 Hello everybody, after supporting me well figuring out in which trucks / cars the 25 inch L6-Dodge engine was used (mine is a T236), I just startetd with rebuilding the engine. And while reading a lot and searching in all the manuals I have a few questions which I couldn't find an answer. First: The cylinder head gasket (and head): Some have an extra water jacket hump, it's at the front end. What's the sense of this hump? Is there an additional in the block and/or head? And for what is it? Second: There is a spare part listed in several catalogs which I couldn't find in pictures and lists (and until now not in my engine). It has the part number CC588825 ( - it is called 'rear engine support mounting spring' and two are needed. Obviously it is used in the T214-engine of the US-Dodge as well as in my Canadian APT. Where could I find it? Third: Is there anybody out there who is owning a wade proofed distributor for the Candian Dodge? The main visible difference to the non-wadeproof one is the distributor cap, which is mounted with screws (see attached drawing) instead of cap springs. Quote
