morson82 Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 Today I spent several hours at "the yard" going through hubcaps of all sorts, Packards, Kiaser, Dodge, Plymouth, Buick, Chevertolet, Ford, Nash, Caddy, Mercury, Pontiac and on and one. Most are in good and some in great shape. I also found a complete set of PORT-O-WALLs with the chrome inserts. I will take a few pics later on. This bone yard is the most fun I have in years!! For those that have inquired into parts, I hope to get out there this weekend and I'll take pics of what I can find. My regards to all. Glenn Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 Sounds like a lot of fun, Glenn. I'm looking for up to 3 more like this one. It is strictly an aftermarket item.....never went with any particular car. I have this one....in pretty good shape. 15 inch. I think they even came with your choice of 3 or four spinner bars. Quote
Guest usedmind Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 I have a set of three hubcaps no one can seem to tell me much about but they were on the car when I bought it. Im look for a matching 4th one. If you get a chance and happen to run across it durring your next adventure let me know.. This link should take you to a picture of it. In the center there is Knight's helmet, I thought it was very cool http://custom.autos.yahoo.com/gallery/photos-car-15410;_ylt=AkGyUw31lFAcBlFiKYiggOIP.ckF?photo_cat=all&start=0&sel=4 Thanks for your time Andy Quote
Normspeed Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 You could post a pic over on the DeSoto DeSpatch forum. If it's DeSoto they can tell you. Quote
morson82 Posted November 17, 2006 Author Report Posted November 17, 2006 Andy, that is a nights head in armor and I believe they are off a Dodge and I have 2 or 3 that are in good shape. As soon as I can get a pic of them I will send them to ya. Glenn Quote
morson82 Posted November 17, 2006 Author Report Posted November 17, 2006 Bob I'm not sure what that is, but I will check my piles and see what I can find. If not I will as the owner of the yard if he knows. Glenn Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 1957 Dodge, standard cover, 14". Link to an ebay ad for one. Sounds a little high, looks like maybe has some edge dings perhaps. Should be some more out there as they are not all so rare.
