Conn47D24 Posted November 14, 2019 Report Posted November 14, 2019 This is the BOTTOM section of my Air filter Housing. I have marked the underside around the throat that feeds the carb. There is a gap between the body and throat here that is open to the inside of the housing. It is hollow inside, and I have bits of rust rattling around in there. I have shaken some out but some remain. ? - Will these rusty bits get sucked into the carb ? ? - Is there a purpose for the opening? ? - Should I plug it up ? Has anyone delt with this ? Thanks all ! Cannuck Posted November 14, 2019 Report Posted November 14, 2019 (edited) Not sure if this will help ,there should be an O ring between carb and breather I use the Viceroy rubber fruit jar rings fit perfectly. maybe they will keep any rust out. Conn47D24 Posted November 14, 2019 Author Report Posted November 14, 2019 I'll try it . See if it covers that gap. Quote
