1950 pilothouse Posted June 29, 2019 Report Posted June 29, 2019 Trying to pull the engine on a 1950 dodge truck. Found the two front mounts. Where are the other mounts to pull the engine? Quote
NiftyFifty Posted June 29, 2019 Report Posted June 29, 2019 You need to remove the trans, flywheel and the bell housing bolts, however I found it much easier to pull the engine with the bell housing attached, as getting the flywheel bolts off can be pretty difficult. Quote
jmooner3 Posted June 29, 2019 Report Posted June 29, 2019 Agreed, pull the floor pans - the engine, bell housing, pedals and all come out... there are four bolts horizontal into the housing at rear of engine and then the two up front. The engine can be manipulated to get pedals to clear under the firwall. Up and out...The whole enchilada comes out as one. I did mine after pulling the "doghouse" off. Estrada motor sports has some videos showing how to do it. Quote
